Knoxville Center of the Deaf (KCD) is proud to serve as an official testing location for both CASLI and EIPA certification exams.
Our goal is to provide a comfortable, accessible, and supportive environment for interpreters pursuing professional certification. All testing is conducted in-house at our KCD building by trained staff proctors.
CASLI Performance Testing

KCD is an approved site for administering CASLI certification exams.
We provide a quiet, professional environment and an experienced proctor to ensure your testing session runs smoothly.

Proctor Fee: $50
This fee is paid directly to KCD and covers the cost of administering and proctoring your exam.

How to Schedule:
Once you have registered for your CASLI exam through the CASLI system, select Knoxville Center of the Deaf as your preferred testing location. After submission, our team will contact you to finalize your appointment.

EIPA Written & Performance Testing

KCD also offers EIPA testing onsite. We strive to make the experience accessible and convenient for interpreters in the region.

Proctor Fee: $35
This fee is paid directly to KCD at the time of scheduling.

How to Schedule:
Register for your EIPA exam through the EIPA system and select Knoxville Center of the Deaf as your testing site. You will receive confirmation and additional instructions after scheduling.

We understand that some interpreters may need flexibility.
Evening or weekend appointments may be available upon request.
