We strive to improve the quality of life for Deaf, Deaf-Blind, and Hard-of-Hearing persons by providing a wide array of services that empower them to become fully integrated into the fabric of the Knoxville and East Tennessee communities. We are a non-profit agency, which means the revenue generated by our interpreting services directly support our local community.

Requesting an Interpreter
Our interpreting services are provided by scheduled appointment, although we are often able to accommodate same day and next day appointments. Please call us as soon as you know interpreting services are needed so we can process your request, as we book up to one year in advance.

After-Hours Emergencies
If calling after-hours, call the same number (865) 579-0832 and leave a message with the after-hours coordinator who will contact you as soon as possible. We offer interpreting coverage for after-hours emergencies with our EmerCorps program. When emergencies happen and an interpreter is needed in the middle of the night, the EmerCorps program allows a coordinator to send an available interpreter to the assignment to provide effective and efficient communication.
