Golfing with the Deaf in Tennessee began in the fall of 2004. It was started to raise money for the Deaf-Blind and the Deaf Youth of Greater Knoxville. Over the years with the help of the Deaf Golfers and KCD more than $50,000 has been raised for the Deaf-Blind and near $30,000 for the Deaf Youth from individual and corporate sponsors.
David Booker and Doug Woods head up the event and volunteer countless hours every year to make this a huge success for the over 150 Deaf and hearing participants.
