Hearing Aids Program
Two major aspects of the Hear Now application qualification are: (1) program is established around the TOTAL "net" household income, as well as looking at other resources to the applicant; i.e., significant checking balances, savings, investments AND (2) availability of a Hear Now provider near you who will work with you (located by calling audiologists and hearing aid dispensers in your local yellow pages and asking if they work with the Hear Now program and with a yes answer, asking if they are willing to you work you and the program as you apply through Hear Now by setting up an appointment for a hearing test).
The cost for applying through the program includes the cost of a hearing test with the Hear Now provider you locate in your area and $100 "per" aid non-refundable processing fee, so we are here to answer your questions regarding any of the process. Oftentimes, if the $100 per aid processing fee is a hardship for the applicant, the applicant is able to obtain assistance through their local charity or civic groups to cover the processing fee.
This is a program of last resort for those who otherwise do not have the resources (income or investments) to purchase hearing aids and permanently reside in the United States.
Qualifications based on income are noted on Page 4 of the attached application with guidelines. Please read through this and contact us at the toll-free line with any questions you may have: 800-648-4327, choose option 3, leave your name and telephone number for one of our staff to return your call.
