Community Center

The community center offers a place where organizations and individuals can meet to enjoy social, recreational and educational opportunities. The current facility will hold approximately 75 persons. This center is the regular meeting place of groups such as the Knoxville Chapter of the Tennessee Association of the Deaf, East Tennessee Self Help for the Hard of Hearing, Tennessee Deaf Blind Association, Knoxville Deaf Senior Citizens, Knoxville Chapter of the Tennessee Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, East Tennessee Bass Club for the Deaf and many others.

The community center is a multi-use facility. KCD members, consumers and organizations are encouraged to use the space in the evenings and weekends to promote activities for socialization within the community. Sign language classes, church services and other public meetings are regular events at KCD.
