Welcome!
Established in 1977, Our mission is to improve the quality of life for Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard-of-Hearing persons by providing a wide array of services that empower them to become fully integrated into the fabric of the Knoxville and East Tennessee communities.
KCD believes in the worth of each person no matter their circumstance in life and treats each person with respect. No problem is ever discounted. We aim to do whatever we can to make the world a better place.

A message from the Executive Director - Christina Vorreyer-Davis, M.S.
The Knoxville Center of the Deaf (KCD) is entering it's 45th year of service.
KCD is dedicated to serving and supporting the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, DeafBlind communities in Knox County, and surrounding counties in Eastern Tennessee. KCD continues to evolve and improve to meet the needs of the communities. All of us who serve the KCD in different ways should take pride in what KCD has achieved thus far. As the Executive Director, I believe in all that KCD has to offer to the communities and beyond. I understand that there are times of uphill battles and celebrations. What matters to me the most is that the community comes together to build KCD and the community itself. It takes a village to raise a successful non-profit organization like KCD. We would not be here if it were not for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind communities.
